The six books in the series together provide a coherent description of the mighty ice-free coastal area between approximately 70° and 77° north on Greenland's north-east coast. An area that stretches 800 km as the crow flies from Scoresby Sund in the south up to Dove Bugt in the north and from the Inland Ice Sheet in the west out to the Greenland Sea in the east - a coastal area of more than 150,000 km2. All of this described and illustrated on more than 1,000 pages packed with almost 1,500 unique photos of nature and other interesting sights. The books are for anyone who wants to learn about the unique north-east Greenland nature and the history of the area. The book series is also a natural photographic supplement to the book "NORTH-EAST GREENLAND 1908-60".
